3. Resumes and Applications

When job seekers upload resumes or apply for positions, that content is stored and may be shared with employers you apply to. You retain ownership of your resume content.

4. Usage Analytics

We collect data about how you use the platform, including pages visited, features used, and interactions. This helps us improve the service.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to support platform functionality, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie consent tool.

NewtJobs uses information to operate, maintain, improve, and secure the platform. We use your data to provide services, communicate with you, enforce our policies, and comply with legal obligations.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. Employers may access applicant information when users apply to their postings. We may share data with service providers who assist us in operating the platform.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.

9. Your Rights — Including the Right to Delete Your Account

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. This includes the right to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data, including resumes, analyses, cover letters, applications, and usage records.

How to request account deletion: Submit a deletion request through our contact form. Please include your account email address and indicate that you are requesting account deletion. We will confirm receipt of your request and complete the deletion within 30 days. Once deletion is complete, we will notify you by email.

Note: Deletion of your account does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees already paid. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before submitting a deletion request to avoid future charges.

10. Security

NewtJobs uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. AI-Powered Features and Data Processing

When you use AI-powered features (resume analysis, cover letter generation, job matching), your content is transmitted to Base44 (our platform infrastructure provider) and their underlying AI model providers for processing. These AI providers may include OpenAI, Google (Gemini), and Anthropic, depending on the task. All AI processing providers are bound by API usage terms that generally prohibit using submitted data for model training purposes. NewtJobs does not use your personal data to train AI models.

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. NewtJobs does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights — including the right to delete your account — please submit a request through our contact form. We will fulfill verified deletion requests within 45 days.

14. Children's Privacy

The platform is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. By using the platform, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age.
